circusnext welcomes Defracto – 2010 circusnext Laureate – in residency at MPAA-Broussais from February 20th to March 3rd, 2023. Defracto will work on its new project Monochraturé, an explosive 50-minute juggling solo crafted like a cartoon.
“Monochraturé is about expressing myself, having fun, getting mad. I want to radiate this obsession with work, juggling, preparation, expression, being with people and the pleasure that comes from that.
Monochraturé talks about this obsession to communicate and this obsession to prepare. I think that the pleasure of Monochraturé will be to be able to extend a panel of abstraction: with liquid things, that flow, that roll, that don’t roll, that bounce, things bigger than me, smaller, unexpected, unpredictable”.
