Fatou Traoré

Eclectic and mixed artist, insatiable explorer of movement and sound, teacher, performer and choreographer, singer and musician, improviser, Fatou Traoré has been creating pieces that oscillate between writing and improvisation for the past twenty years. Live music is at the heart of her work, and the essential engine of her creative impulse. She has also created and collaborated with circus artists and has been the dance coordinator in the ENSAC/CNAC from 2008 till 2011.

“The idea is to work together as a group and also that, each participant can have time to explore concretely with others’ ideas and, exchange around and explain their own project.

I will propose some different ways to get into a creative process as a group and take care of the space: there will be time for practice and time for exchange.”
