Marta Tkachuk

Born in Ukraine in 1995, Marta is an artist and director specialised in physical theatre. After studying circus arts at the Circus & Theatre School CAU in Spain, she continues her studies at the Jacques Lecoq Theatre School in Paris which she graduated in 2019. In 2021, she co-creates the company Strange Fish Theatre, and writes and directs her first full-length production. In parallel she works with different companies as assistant director, puppeteer and performer.

“Being a part of this new format to accompany artists during their creative processes means creating the opportunity for artists to work in a group settinf all the while developing their individual projects, and therefore encourage the exchange of knowledge, experience and the meeting between different aesthetics.

This Lab also allows us to break away from production formats which often isolate creators and be the witness of new and surprising encounters between artists coming from all over Europe.”

Jérôme Dupin
Student of the Jacques Lecoq school in 1998/99, Jérôme Dupin has been an actor, puppeteer and director. Numerous artistic and geographical journeys have enriched him over the last 20 years. In 2018, he is back at Lecoq School for a pedagogical year and is questioning himself about transmission, provocation in creation and scenic writing. The meeting with contemporary circus is natural. The body on stage, the aesthetics and poetry are his axes of work. He is currently a director and theatre teacher, notably at the ENACR.

“Creation takes different paths for each one, but provocation is the common element, whether it is intimate, situational or sociological. Without it, the creative impulse struggles to confront the void. Questioning new forms of writing with various artists, in a space where the collective enriches everyone, is an opportunity for all. Listening, accompanying and provoking will be my axes of intervention. Let’s experiment and seize every opportunity to deepen the research.”
